For the most part the range of tempo is fairly standard, largely sticking to mid-paced to moderately thrashing fair that gives off a bit of a Colony vibe, but modernized a bit more with a more chugging guitar tone and a large keyboard presence.

This serves to provide what is an extremely creepy atmosphere, particularly during the opening trailer where a quotation of serial killer and cannibal Albert Fish segues into a fairly predictable but well executed mid-paced nod to In Flames in "The Cannibal Course".

Perhaps the most compelling and original thing going on here is the way that the entire listen is structured, with all full length material being broken up into clusters of two or three by the strategic placement of short interludes titled as numbered theatrical trailers. There is a healthy infusion of keyboard textures and quirky synthesizer noise that leans a bit towards something along the lines of Soundtrack To Your Escape and perhaps the recent output of Amaranthe, though mercifully the emphasis is placed on the harsh groans inherited from the original Gothenburg sound and less so the whiny clean vocals of post- Clayman In Flames, though there are some occasional clean vocals thrown in that do make for a comparison to Amaranthe at times, particularly on "0100101101000111" where both clean male and female vocals are employed, though not in a co-equal fashion to the traditional screams. The two principle influences at work are the latter day works of Arch Enemy and the middle era of In Flames, opting more for the simplicity of the latter while putting for a riff presentation that's a bit chunkier and closer to the thrashing and grooving of a Khaos Legions or a Rise Of The Tyrant. The stylistic presentation on here is fairly straightforward, largely relying on extremely streamlined and song-oriented approach that could pass for radio, with a few caveats naturally. Then again, along the fringes of the sound that makes up their debut LP Cinematic Parallels belies a rather pronounced fixation with horror films and past serial killers, and has opted to present a bleak take on things by blurring the lines between reality and fiction, to the point of showing forth a twisted variation on "The Truman Show". The Danish metal scene has offered something recently in Killing Gandhi, no doubt a band name that may elicit a lawsuit from Bill O'Reilly given his obsession with assassinated historical figures, that presents an extremely conventional and highly accessible mode of melodic death metal that would not otherwise lend itself to any sort of break with tradition. Given the ongoing expansion of metal sub-genre terminology to include such mouth-fulls as "epic film score metal" and "industrial blackened post-rock", it seems that every band may as well be staking their own stylistic moniker to represent their respective niche within what is essentially a slight variation on something that many other bands have done or are not doing.
